Well, Beth Glover with National Realty of Brevard, Inc, has a plant nursery where she grows native and tropical plants and opens her gardens to the public once a year to show her customers what can be done with the “right plants in the right space”.
Why plant native plants in your yard? With a good landscape design, they should reduce cooling and heating costs, conserve water, use fewer fertilizers and improve the appearance and usefulness of the landscape. They provide a screen for privacy, shade for comfort, and provide cover for the wildlife.

What is the Green Designation?
One of the “Hottest” trends in Florida is going “Green”. Builders, architects, businesses, homeowners, towns and cities are all looking to help preserve our environment. There is a growing consumer awareness of the benefits of energy efficient homes, buildings and landscaping.
I decided to extend my education in Real
Estate to include the Green Designation because of my interest in the
environment. This designation has given
me the skills to identify the features of a green-built home and will allow me
to help both Buyers and Seller who care about energy efficiency. This and the fact that I have a native plant
nursery just seemed like a great fit!
