When
people think about living in Florida, they rightly picture an idyllic life in a
beautiful, tropical location. There are palm trees. There are tropical breezes.
But one of the aspects of living in Florida that many people overlook is the
strong presence of the aerospace industry in the area. In fact, the area around
Brevard County, Florida, is often referred to as the Space Coast because of
its proximity to Cape Canaveral and all of the aerospace companies in the area.
But life in Space Coast Florida can be surprisingly similar to life in any
other metropolitan area of the United States.

One of the advantages to living in Space Coast Florida is that the aerospace industry is booming. The Space Coast always has jobs available for those who want them, and not just in the aerospace industry, either. Brevard County boasts one of the highest rates of new business establishment in Florida, and is a bustling center of industry. This means that the economy in the area is doing relatively well, and that people living on the Space Coast will find that the cost of living is surprisingly affordable without sacrificing the quality of living. There’s a general sense of prosperity in the area.

But just because industry is such an important aspect of life in Space Coast Florida doesn’t mean that there isn’t any room for fun. Brevard County is only forty-five minutes away from Orlando, which boasts some of the best shopping and entertainment in the world. With resorts such as Disney World and Universal Studios in easy reach, you’ll never find yourself bored while you’re on the Space Coast. Even in the county itself, Brevard County Parks and Recreation will provide you with plenty of community activities in which you can take part and enjoy.
Space Coast Florida has a connotation of technology and intelligence, so it should come as no surprise that the community is so dedicated to education. From the public schools, which are consistently ranked amongst the best in the nation, to the universities and community colleges, which provide a strong emphasis on giving back to the community, there’s a reason that Brevard County boasts such a high percentage of citizens with college educations. And since the residents of the Space Coast are so committed to their communities, this only serves to continually improve the community and make it a better place to live.

The more times i visit Brevard the more i want to relocate there. Fantastic people, great beaches, lots to do and nice sunny weather! Coming again in May 2011!
